PRIORITE
A GAUCHE ON FACEBOOK
MySpace?-
So last season. Get with le programme, it's all about Facebook now.
See you there...
PRIORITE
A GAUCHE
ON MYSPACE
Do YOU have a Priorité à Gauche
CD?
If
not, too bad – we’re pretty much sold out at the moment, and
they are not available in the shops. Getting hold of one on eBay can be
difficult too, although we did see one with a starting bid of £1.99,
but no-one bought it. Sadly, not everyone is as discerning in their taste
in music as you.
However,
as a special treat we are offering our fans the opportunity to download
all our songs for FREE from MySpace.
That's
right! FREE! GRATUIT!
The
system is simple: you leave us a message on our MySpace page indicating
which songs you want from the list, and we will make them available to
download. As we are only allowed to post four songs at a time, we will
rotate them until everyone has what they wants (in terms of PaG songs,
not life in general. Although some would argue it amounts to the same
thing).
So
get writing and send us a message with your request by visiting:

PRIORITE
A GAUCHE SHOCK FANS BY TURNING THEIR BACK ON RAP MUSIC!!
'Unplugged'
the way forward, say France's hippest pop duo
Priorité
à Gauche yesterday announced that they are to abandon all forms
of synthesised music
in
favour of an 'unplugged' acoustic style. The move, which is set to surprise
and delight their fans around the world, has been in the pipeline for
some time, sources close to the gallic musicians claim.
Famous
for cutting edge rap hits such as 'Tricolore 3A', 'Ecoutez et Repetez'
and 'Bonjour', Priorité à Gauche redefined the ex-patriot
French rap scene and electrified audiences from Inverness to Ipswich.
Now they say they are going to 'electrify their fans without even being
plugged in', although it is believed that their guitars, double bass and
harmonica will need some sort of amplification. Asked to clarify, a spokesman
confirmed that no-one would literally be electrified, though went on to
admit that 'instruments would in all probability be plugged in, but the
spirit and style of the music would be of a non-electronic nature'.
Following
a highly acclaimed experiment at Edinburgh 2003 where they performed three
sell-out secret late night 'unplugged' gigs, Priorité à
Gauche continued their success at the Albany in Great Portland Street
with four gigs, featuring a kaleidoscope of musical guests.
Asked to comment on the change of direction, the French
songsmiths said:
"We
want to get back to our roots - without the artifice of synthesised music.
We feel that the world needs to hear us once more in our naked, stripped
down form. We have become too commercial so we are going au naturelle
and doing 'pure music' turning our back on the money-grabbing, consumerist
music industry."
Asked if this meant an end to PaG rap music, the pop duo
are quick to reassure:
"We
still do rap occasionally, mainly for corporate events, weddings and bar
mitzvahs.
Also some of our new set includes the raps we used to do, but with new
acoustic arrangements. We are just saying au revoir - but not adieu -
to rap."
